List of Private Laboratories Complying to NPRA’s Requirements for Traditional Products Testing
1. What is the purpose of Listing of Recognized Private Laboratories for testing of Traditional Products?
Effective 1 December 2020, pre-registration sample testing by NPRA laboratory is no longer required and only testing results from NPRA recognized laboratories and the manufacturers’ laboratory will be accepted. The listing of recognized private laboratories for testing of traditional products is to facilitate those traditional product manufacturers without QC facilities / who require testing services for their products.

2. Will NPRA accept results/certificate of analysis (COA) from other private laboratories?
No. NPRA will only accept results/COA from the laboratories listed by NPRA or from manufacturer’s QC facility.
3. What are the criterias of selection of the private laboratories to be listed and how to apply?
Listing of private laboratories is based on voluntary application. The criterias and requirements are stated in Garis Panduan Pengiktirafan Makmal Swasta oleh Bahagian Regulatori Farmasi Negara (NPRA), Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) bagi Perkhidmatan Analisis Produk Tradisional which is available on NPRA’s website. Laboratories that are interested may send in their application to NPRA by filling in Borang Permohonan Pengiktirafan Makmal Swasta Oleh Bahagian Regulatori Farmasi Negara Bagi Perkhidmatan Analisis Produk Tradisional which is available on NPRA’s website.
