NOMINATION CRITERIA FOR THE DRUG CONTROL AUTHORITY (DCA) EXPERT ADVISOR PANEL
- Criteria for nominating the Drug Control Authority (DCA) Expert Advisor Panel are as follows:
- Chief of Clinical Services of Ministry of Health (MOH) and/or Chairman of the Drug Working Committee (JKK) of MOH
- Not among the members/alternate members of DCA
- Consultant Specialists/ Senior Consultant Specialists/ Research Specialists from MOH nominated by the Medical Development Division or other relevant divisions/institutes
- At least 5-10 specialists for each area/sub-area of expertise;
- Must have at least 2 years of service with MOH remaining;
- Not among the Chief of Clinical Services of MOH or the Chairman of the Drug Working Committee (JKK) of MOH
- Not among the members/alternate members of DCA
- Consultant Specialists/ Senior Consultant Specialists from universities with teaching hospitals, and nominations will be requested from Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM), Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (PPUKM), Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM)
- At least 2-3 specialists for each area/sub-area of expertise;
- Must have at least 2 years of service with the Ministry of Higher Education remaining;
- Not among the members/alternate members of DCA
- Consultant Specialists/ Senior Consultant Specialists from the private sector
- At least 2-3 specialists for area/sub-area of expertise;
- Must possess relevant professional qualifications and experience;
- Must have retired from the Public Service
- Should have good record in providing product reviews previously
- Consultant Specialists/ Senior Consultant Specialists/ Veterinary Research Specialists from universities with veterinary teaching hospitals/clinics, and nominations will be requested from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK)
- At least 1-2 specialists for each area/sub-area of expertise;
- Must have at least 2 years of service with the Ministry of Higher Education remaining;
- Not among the members/ alternate members of DCA
- Chief of Clinical Services of Ministry of Health (MOH) and/or Chairman of the Drug Working Committee (JKK) of MOH
- All members of DCA Expert Advisor Panel are appointed by the Director General of Health for a term of 3 years.
- The criteria for the nomination of the existing DCA Expert Advisor Panel are based on the decisions of the following meetings:

369th DCA Meeting, 10th February 2022
