The National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) continuously monitors registered products and notified cosmetics in the local market to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in terms of quality, safety, and efficacy.

The main activities and programs carried out by the Surveillance and Complaints Section (SVA), Center for Compliance and Quality Control (PKKK), NPRA focus on product quality monitoring and post-market surveillance of notified cosmetics as follows:

1. Sampling and Testing of Registered Products and Notified Cosmetics.
2. Handling of Complaint Reports on the Quality of Registered Products and Notified Cosmetics.
3. Handling of Reports Related to Quality Issues from Product Registration Holders (PRH) and Follow-up on Alerts/Directives.
4. Handling of ASEAN Post Marketing Alert System (PMAS)/Rapid Alert.
5. Monitoring of Cosmetic Product Advertisements and Handling of Complaint Reports on Notified Cosmetic Advertisements.
6. Handling of Medicine Shortage and Discontinuation Reporting.
